About the event

You're invited to join Dr Natalie Burger and Dr Laura Frampton for an informative session designed to help you understand fertility and feel more confident about your next steps towards building a family. In a supportive setting, Dr Burger and Dr Frampton will explain key concepts in simple, clear language and give you space to ask questions.

A light meal and refreshments will be provided.

Raised in Southland, Laura moved to Dunedin to study and eventually made the lovely city her home. She did her specialist training in General Practice but spent several years doing hospital medicine gaining experience in a variety of fields including but not limited to: Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Rehabilitation Medicine, Paediatrics, and Emergency Medicine.

Prior to studying medicine, Laura did a Bachelor and Master of Science in Pharmacology and since graduating medical school has gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Women’s Health, Postgraduate Diploma in Child Health and Master of Reproductive Medicine.

Laura has been at Fertility Associates Dunedin since 2017 and loves helping patients on their fertility journey. She particularly enjoys the long-term relationships that develop and the holistic approach she can offer. When not doctoring, she likes to spend time with family while getting out to explore some of all the great things the Otago and Southland region has to offer.

Dr Natalie Burger

BS (Bachelor of Science), MD (Medical Doctor), FACOG (Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology), SREI (Fellow of the Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility).


Natalie completed an undergraduate degree in biology (and a minor in mathematics) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia; completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and then a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Vermont.

Natalie then moved to the Texas Fertility Centre in Austin, Texas, where she practiced for 14 years. In addition to treating infertility patients with a variety of medical and surgical options, she was involved in the training of O&G registrars, community outreach, and research. During her time in Austin, Natalie also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas.

Natalie has special interests in hysteroscopic surgery, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), hypothalamic amenorrhea, and recurrent pregnancy loss. She will be key to Fertility Associates’ commitment to delivering world-class fertility treatment to Dunedin and the lower South Island.

Natalie has recently moved to Dunedin with her husband and two sons and they are all looking forward to experiencing the wonderful South Island lifestyle.
